Background

My comprehensive Pilates education is a hybrid of Stott+ Balanced Body Pilates methods which are based on Joseph Pilates and adapted to physical therapy principles. In addition, I hold certifications with TRX, OOV Pilates, Core Align, NASM personal trainer +SCI Zebrafish foundational movements. The combo of modalities allows me to implement exercises that challenge you. Try a session. Sooner rather than later!

My personal pilates and functional training has grown from a lifetime of exposure on my own journey as a college swimmer and 22 years as an age group triathlete. My passion for fitness extends from marathon running, to ocean swim races and exploring Mt Tam hiking and biking. I live for being outside and moving. I found pilates to be my foundation for preventing overuse injuries and I credit it for my longevity in sport. My background as an athlete shapes my interest in the biomechanics of human movement.

Vision

Every Body is welcome, from teens to older populations. All workouts are bespoke to your needs and goals.

Pilates has been pivotal for my athletic endeavors with triathlon, running, biking and swimming. Having a strong core and working with smaller stabilizing muscles aided my completion of 56 Half Ironman races, 5 marathons and several ocean swim races.

I call it, ‘pre:hab’. Preventative Pilates keeps me injury free and lifts my performance. It's no exaggeration that a strong foundation will keep us moving longer than those who wait to start their fitness journey.

​All are welcome to work with me and find your path to fitness. That includes teens, SCI athletes, sports specific, Rehab injuries, and new to fitness clients. Let's build a stronger version of you.

 

Small classes offer community/ social feel, with instructor specialization in form and corrections.  By using multiple machines such as chair, mat, Cadillac, tower, OOV and reformers, the 55 min workout will cover the full body with rotation, lengthening, strengthening, stability and balance work.  Mixed classes focus on all levels with ways to tone the class back to basics and ways to amp up the skill level from the baseline.

 

First class free to new students.  Prepay to hold a spot.
